i currently have 5 barnyard mixes out side that are about 3yrs old and 13 baby chickens inside along with a friend with 17 newborns that I’m going to get to pick some from, I’m thinking of keeping and breeding seramas each one of my chickens ( other than the 3yr old because they aren’t rlly a breed) are a different but the chickens from a friend came from a flock with two roosters, a Cochin and an Americana so are at lead time part Cochin/Americana but the mother’s are mysteries. I’m new to this fourum and hope it comes in handy :)

Barnyard mixes are always so much fun! I love trying to figure out what the birds have in them. I think you will get some really cool chicks from your friend's mixes.
