Awesome, I think everyone else is just teasing us with their little love smilies... lol! I'll have to try to load the page on my smartphone to see since, by all accounts, they seem snuggle-ishus - lol!

Most ducklings tend to be flighty and easily scared. I'm sure its a survival thing as ducks are closer to being wild than chickens, for example. Lots of treats by hand works wonders and most of them calm down a lot as they grow up. By the time they are a year or two old, all of mine are quite calm, though very few of them actually enjoy being handled. I have about 20 adult ducks though, they don't get the "pet" time that fewer would. They still come running when I call them for treats. As for what to feed, try lots of things when they are little and get them used to eating new stuff. Mine enjoy tomatoes, strawberries, garden greens, worms, stuff like that. I need to try the frozen pea thing though!

Man do they love mashed peas. I had to add a little water, and they went nuts for them!

I'm going to mash a whole bag of frozen peas and put them in the fridge so I can always have some on hand.

I'll try and get some pictures of the frenzy next time i give them peas!

they are cute. ya for some reason when they breed for egg laying ability in ducks; the best egg layers must have been also been the most timid by chance. but they are so cute the way they spook and then run to you for treats and maul ya when they are hungry.
