I am kinda new here so I thought I would share about what we have. I have one white silkie roo , named chester who is king roo and he has a group of lovely ladies all to himself including some oeg's, beautiful blue wheaten americanas, blue americana and two big and fluffy light brahmas . My husband named him chester well because chesters chicken lol. I have to tell you he is not very good at protecting his hens .
When a hawk is in sight he is the first to run and hide. Found him hiding in the coop under the hens. I thank our watch turkey george as he will gobble even when a plane is in the sky. George our bronze tom watches over and will fight off anything that comes near his best friends , our chickens or as george believes they are his flock.
