I'm just starting out, but am quickly finding that chickens are addictive! They remind me a lot of flowers...lots of different colors and varieties. I really like their personalities as well. Here's some of my flock:

Calico cochins - LOVE this rooster (on right). He's got a fantastic personality and will just hang out.

"Buffy" - buff laced polish hen

"Big Hen" - (splash) blue laced red wyandotte

"King Julian" - Buff laced polish rooster

Silkie pair - buff or red?

"Gus" and his woman - partridge wyandotte bantams

Thanks guys :)

King Julian cracks me up too. Don't know if you've ever seen the kids movie Madagascar, but King Julian (lemur) from that movie is who he's named after....acts a lot like him ;)

aww thats is a beautiful flock!

Pretty! I love king Julian's feathers! :)

I went and visited Sun Faris Farm (http://www.sunfarisfarm.com/) today to pick up some calico bantam cochin chicks that I've been impatiently waiting to hatch. I ended up with some mottled bantam cochin chicks too, and Myrna was kind enough to let me bring my camera and take pics of her birds! Most of my silkies came from these guys, and all of my calicos did, as well as two BLRW chicks. I can't take any credit for how awesome these birds are (in the following pics), and they aren't mine, but I thought some people might like to drool along with me

Not sure what color this boy would be considered, but I like him!!!

BLRW hen

BLRW rooster - Pretty boy!!!

Another shot of the king himself :)

Calico bantam cochins (I've got a few from this group!!! :) )

Mottled bantam cochins - I've got two chicks from this group too

As the above birds aren't my flock, I don't know anything about them, and don't know which ones are project birds/colors. They don't ship eggs, I'm not sure if they ship chicks/adults, but I kind of don't think so. I feel fortunate to be near these guys!
