OK, I have 25 chickens and am starting to sell eggs. I asked my friend it he would like to buy eggs for me but he said he wanted his own chickens. So, I took a step back and reviewed the situation: He wants his own coop and chickens(20). What can I do?
Well then a thought came... "What if I built him his coop?" I know that coops are very expensive and that he would love to help set it up. So I asked him if I could make him one. Being the friend he is he said sure. So now the designs:
8x8 ft.
1 ft. off the ground
6 nesting boxes
NO run (perfect, don't like making those)
2 exits for chickens
1 human door
Roof is slanted one way
1 wall 6 ft. high
1 wall 8 ft. high (opposite)
3 screened windows that can be closed
Roof is shingles
3 roosts
2 ramps of chicken doors
Please tell me if I am missing anything or need to consider. Anything would be great. Also not sure how much this coop will cost. Any estimates would be great!
