My future Chickens

I have had chickens but that was so long ago. I love and adore Silkies. Really don't care if they lay or not. We did get eggs from them though. I have been thinking and thinking about my new future setup if I move. I want a medium chicken tractor for about 6 silkies or less. I think that can be totally predator proofed cause I can lock them in tight at night. I will only free-range them if I am out in the yard with them. BUT, I forgot about snakes in the daytime !! The wire spacing would have to be as small as I could get it. Have I forgotten ANYTHING about Ft. Knoxing my tractor ? Maybe moving to FL is why I'm concerned about daytime snakes..
