Currently I am growing Habaneros, Cherry tomatoes, Regular Tomatoes, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Mint, Basil, Thai Basil, Bell peppers, Squash, etc, here are some photos of my garden!!

Lovely! My DH loves habaneros. He calls them, "hubbyneros." I can't handle that kind of heat, I'm a wimp.

Basil, Thai Basil

I planted 3 different basils: Opal (purple), Genovese, and Thai. Well, I planted Italian Basil too, but it didn't come up.

I have to say, the Opal and Genovese were easier to dry, as they had bigger leaves. I'm going to plant about twice as much next year.

I still need to gather oregano leaves to dry.

Thai basil is better used fresh in soups, stir-fry, curries, and sandwiches.

Ah! I didn't know that. Well, all the basil has been dried and crushed and mixed together. I use it in homemade spaghetti sauce. Hope it'll taste ok. The majority of it is the Opal and Genovese varieties.

Thai basil has a licorice taste to it so you don't necessarily want to pair it with Italian cooking.
