my geese keep laying duds!

I have a pair of geese in their first laying season and they keep laying duds. Any suggestions?

Lol! Sorry, that's like when a couple says "we're pregnant.". Yes, I have a gander and he's 8 mos. They're cotton patch geese.

Do you have water for them to mate in? Have you actually seen them mate? If not, get a kiddy pool asap! They mate in water. I swear everytime I fill up the kiddy pool, I see farm porn... lol!

But if they "just" started laying then give it a couple weeks.... or it could be that your gander is not yet sexually mature. You might have to wait for goslings another year.

They have a little pool and I saw them breed once. So maybe he's just not totally mature

the girl has laid two clutches already.

Maybe they don't like keeping it in the famil since they're related. I have a batch of non-related goslings on their way to adulthood. Maybe he will be happy with one of them next year.
