She's about a 2 year old barred rock
Always been very healthy
until the past few months we noticed her underside looked irritated and she had lost feathers, I talked to a few chicken buddies and posted here and the best response was baby powder. We've been dusting her and shes still looking worse. It's very red and irritated and bare on the underside. Poor girl. But shes still head of the coop and laying eggs almost daily and no other chickens have gotten it. I moved her into the garage thinking maybe if it were dry it would help her get better. What else can I try putting on her? I don't know what is okay for chickens. We were thinking of cortisone creme? Or neosporin? Any other recommendations? Also using cortisone creme would it still be safe to eat the eggs? Thanks for any help!
