I have the following (hens):

7 White Leghorns and 2 Easter Eggers= 25+ weeks old. Out of those I am getting: 4 White and 1 Green egg a day.

and...

4 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Buff Op, and 1 SL Wyandotte= 22+ weeks old. Out of those I am getting: NO BROWN EGGS!!

What the heck?!?! Shouldn't they be laying by now??

I got them from Ideal Poultry, btw.

Our last batch of rir's started at 21 weeks. They are small yet but they are starting to be consistent.
You should be close.

Only one of my RIRs is getting a red comb. *sigh* I'm very dissapointed in them. Especially the Leghorns... they should all be laying by now. And yes, I feed them laying pellets. They also free-range sometimes.

my rir's are the same age and no eggs yet here also.

A watched pot never boils!

Patience. It may be the heat this time of year slowing them to point of lay.

When the comb and wattles turn red, eggs are soon to follow. Most of my RIR's started laying at 20 - 24 weeks. I had one that was almost 30 weeks before she started laying. Also the last couple of weeks my eggs have slacked off some I think due to the heat. I have been putting ice chunks into their water and some electrolytes. I had one hen that just went through a molt and another one going through one now.
