More treats isn't always a good thing. It can delay egg laying or slow down egg production. We made this mistake with our first round of pullets.

I try to have restraint..lol...i want to make sure they are eating their regular food too. I just bought a bag a grit... gotta read up and figure that out next.

Edit: Black Australorp = bottoms of feet are pinkish grey
Jersey Giant = bottoms of feet are yellow

I think you may have typed that backward. Yellow feet bottoms are Jersey Giants, Pinkish feet bottoms are Australorps.
