Wanted to crow about my girls. All are laying again , the first row is Red the 2nd row is Runner and 3rd is Bertha.
My girls are awesome. Can't wait to get more this spring

For the first time in years, my chickens actually laid eggs fairly regularly this winter! Usually they stop completely, but we were getting six or so eggs a day. I can't wait to see how many they lay come summer! I know I have a few that started over the winter.

Exciting! I heard bantams lay in the winter!

Haha my bantams never used to lay in the winter! I have a good mix of birds now and was probably getting about 2 bantam eggs and the rest large eggs this winter. I have about 23 or so birds now, so that's not too bad!

Hmm, well the person who said so had about 43 bantams so I guess I'm wrong

I just love getting eggs from my girls too! They hadn't laid eggs for months, then when the weather turned cold, a miracle, they started laying again! Its always so egg-citing, isn't it?! Enjoy!
