My Gold Bantams

I have two very cute pet bantams that are a part of my production flock. Over the past 4 days, both have stopped laying, they both stay in the nesting box like they are trying to lay. They are not egg bound and feel like they have gone out of lay. I did the vent and pelvic spacing check. They act like they want to sit on eggs. What I've done is leave them alone and allowed one egg to be left for them to sit on.


Any thoughts on this would help as I'm playing the annoying game of guess whats wrong with the bird.

They're broody. Nothing wrong with them, just hormones

If you're wanting to hatch I'd do more than 1 egg a piece.

Nah not really caring if it hatches or not just dont want all that broodiness to go in vain lol. At least let them try, if they work I may have a hen I can use for my young hatched chicks. If it works that way. Still trying to figure things out myself.
