Thank you for the advice! I don't think she will starve, as I make her get off the next 2x a day, and lock her out of the coop for a couple of hours, she eats grass and bugs etc. Plus I bring her water outside when I lock her out, and she does drink from it. I have borrowed a wire cage, and now that the weather is nice here, I plan to try your technique. I will put her in the wire cage w/ food and water every night. Do you think it is OK to let her free range during the day for a few hours?
