not very likely we have two neighbours and that's about itHow likely is it that people took them in your neighbourhood?
the door has little hooks to hold it in they were bentIF your door opens outward & needs to be lifted & no feathers, someone took them. Was the door damaged? Pried open? You should check with your neighbors if they heard or seen anything/one around. Where are you located? Sorry this has happened to you, leave the door open just in case they did get out they may return at night or in the morning but it's more likely someone/something took them.
I do live rurally and my dad and I had a look at the river and through the little amount of bush we have and did not find or hear anythingDo you have a large flock? Are your goose and chicken good buddies? If they got out on their own, you may find them nearby in the morning. Chickens don't seem to see well at night. They kind of become bird zombies, which means they may not be too far away.
If you're rural and have few neighbours, let's hope no one took them. Be sure to look under decks, in trees and shrubs, under cars, and anywhere a chicken can perch. They may be on the ground goose style, though, not perching.
Keep us posted. I'm sorry this happened.
