And it is going in the incubator in a day or so. It was the same girl that I was worried about that was acting sick a few weeks ago. And the same goose that my little miricle goose hatched from the other day.

Poor girl is sitting in the little pool all alone. I think laying the egg hurts her. The other 5 are off eating and playing.

I hope it is fertile!

OK But of what? The egg or goose? I am feeding the GS his bottle and then I am going to bring him and some culls to my daughter at work. I will do it in a few hours. It is still warm from her!

Here's the egg! She must have just laid it because it was still warm and wet. I brought it in and looked for cracks (I haven't candled yet) She lays them everywhere. This one was on the patio block by the front door. She hasn't laid any for weeks and I thought she was done. I think she laid about 7-8 I lost track. All but one was not fertile. I hope this one is. I just love the little goosie. I will post if it veins out. But that will be about 10 days from now.

Well it is early days still and I shouldn't have candled but I was candeling eggs from Speckled Hen and decided "what the heck"

It is veining. Geesh. Very faint but they are there. So, now to keep my candeling hands off of it for at least another week and then I will take pics! Whoo hoo.

The only bad part about all of this is now I am going to worry over it for the next 3 1/2 weeks!

Aaaakkk!!! My babies?
Just kidding. Actually these are from a young layer and they aren't that big. How do you decorate them? It sounds like it could be interesting.

I don't know how big the geese will be as adults. I think the size of the egg makes a difference in the size of the goose. Either way, I will love them. My one little baby is adorable. She sits on her beanie baby and honks when I come in to be picked up.
I thought she was lonely so I put a couple quail in there with her. Big mistake. I got them out of there before she killed them. So she sits alone just her and her beanie.

you would decorate them like you would a normal chicken eggs for like...Christmas ornaments?? hold on Ill post a long awesome post about it to show you-be right back...
