My Goose

I am very sorry you wanted to do the right thing for your goose and I don’t see how you could not have taken him home for treatment. Especially if not life threatening.

I wanted to bring him home, but the vet insisted that the goose needs the surgery which cost over $1k which I don’t have.. like I explained above.. she said she has to sign a release form called which basically the ‘against animal cruelty release form’ which I never heard before then I said ok.. then I asked her what does that mean.. she said that basically means she has to call animal control person to come to my farm and check on my goose every time.. it can be daily, weekly etc.. throughout that goose lifetime.. it’s like you taking an animal from the shelter or like you adopted a human kid.. and this person will have to write a report etc and I don’t want such people to come to my farm and who knows one day they get all my animals just for spite..

Then she gave me an option to euthanize the goose if I didn’t want the animal control people to visit my farm to check on the gander.. I felt cheated coz according to her initially that I get the option to clean the wound and fix the wings later.. it turned out she lied to me and the technician was quite rude too.

I’ll never recommend that vet place.. when I got home I google the vet place to check reviews on them.. and they seems to like euthanized animals and overcharge pet owners as well as cornered or threatened pet owners like how they did me..

Anyhow, I learnt my lesson and from now on, I just gonna fix my sick animals at home with info I get in this forum and online..
