So i have this goose that i just got a couple days ago from this place. She didn't grow up in a very good environment. The lady that i got her from said that a few weeks ago she could walk on at least one of her legs and now she just doesn't walk on either of them(she drags herself to the food and water). She had been on a hard floor that was covered in chicken, duck, and goose poo and mud, I'm wondering if that probably affected her legs and joints. When i brought her home my uncle checked her out and said its her joint that's messed up and she was skin and bones so she wasn't fed properly either. What I want to know. Are there any methods i can do to help out her joint and gain some strength in her legs?

Place her into a container of water large enough for her to swim. If she will tolerate that, keep her in it as much a possible. 2hours in, one hour out?. This will give her support to her body and allow her to use her legs with the lest amount of pain If possible , start with the water warm and change it frequently,as she will be drinking from it. If it could be a ranged, place the food next to the water so that she could eat in comfort . offer her some greens along with the feed/ grains. Not to much at first, see how well she tolerates them . But remember, "loose as a goose" is normal. ;-} but not too loose, if that makes sense.
She may have been feed improperly and without deep enough water to swallow her food. Being the water would help with that.
Good luck

I have been putting her in a tub for about 10 minutes, so i should leave her in there for 2 hours at a time?, because often times she wants out after 5 minutes.

Hello I am also new at raising geese and I also have a problem with mine it is always falling over I looked at its foot and one is inward and he steps on his other foot. He eats well and drinks and has such a drive to survive. My question is if anyone knows what can be done to straighten his foot He is about 4 weeks old. We are just calling him he sounds better than it.

Get some Niacin or Brewers yeast in these goslings! That's what the problem is. They probably haven't had any and are deficient.

250 mgs of Niacin to one gallon of water. You may still have some time to turn around what has happened so far!
