I built myself a new brooder this summer! It has 2 stories, LED lighting that dims, and Brinsea EcoGlow Brooder heaters. And I made it look like a bookcase so it looks nice in my office. LOL.......The cat LOVES it!

It is working really well. I still love it and use it year round. The only thing I would do differently would be to maybe put some sort of plastic barrier at the bottom half of the doors to keep the shavings from falling out . And the cat still really enjoys it as well.I'm not sure if the OP is still active on here, but I would love to hear how this worked out for you. I like hearing what worked and didn't work and what you would've done differently.
This has got to be the greatest brooder and the greatest cat entertainment center I've ever seen. I love it LOTS. Don't have the cats but I would be totally entertained!I built myself a new brooder this summer! It has 2 stories, LED lighting that dims, and Brinsea EcoGlow Brooder heaters. It's 4 feet wide, 2.5 feet deep. In the summer they move out to the grow out pen pretty quickly because it's so hot where we live. They aren't usually in there linger than 6 weeks. It depends on the weather and how many I am hatching. I have 2 fully enclosed grow out pens outside that they stay in until they are old enough for the breeding/show coopsIt's gorgeous! I don't imagine they fit in there for very long tho....2-4 weeks?
