I'm excited. The store bought eggs my husband got were the wrong ones. I wanted some of the ones marked fertile. None of them were fertile (though they were marked fertile) I cracked them open and not one had any signs of being fertile. A bit upset but my dogs ate well that day.
The 9 eggs from my moms hens and rooster (that was butchered just after collecting these eggs) all were fertile. 3 have what looks to be blood rings. But waiting til monday to take them out. Just to make sure it's an actual blood ring in all 3 of those.
I am hoping for 1 or 2 pullets at most 3. So having 4 hatch will be successful for me.
I'm excited to see what they turn out like. The rooster was pure white, He was game fowl/ Cornish cross mix. The hens are different purebreds, Some barred rock, Buff O..., RIR, and (breen name escapes me right now... White chickens that are used for egg production).
