How cold can an egg get before it becomes infertile? The temp outside is absolute frigid! I'm checking often... but still curious.
I have incubated eggs that contained ice crystals, but they often fail during the internal pip because the yolk changes consistency by developing a rind and is too hard to absorb through the navel. Try chilling a table egg in the freezer for half an hour, then cracking it into a bowl and stirring it.
