My heart is broken, Scovey Hen flew off yesterday

But wouldn't they be Mules? They take around 29 days, don't they? I have only hatched Muscovy X's once and they hatched all crazy at different times! but that was in the incubator, I am positive a hen could do better than me!

My only Drake is a Mallard so yes they'll be Mules. I tell ya this has been the longest 22 days of my life. Thank you for the Prayers Hon...they sure are appreciated. After I hug and kiss Scooter like crazy then give her some peas I'm going to lecture her on putting me through this worry LOL the little booger!

I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed for ya. I had a hen do this to me a couple years ago but thankfully i found her within a week under one of the buildings, along with a fat nest of eggs! Maybe Scooter just needed a break from the other birds

You're right it would be around 29 days. Figured Scooter might have "found"

herself a Scovy drake somewhere in the area and is nesting closer to him. Those boys do seem to get around.

I've had a number of people looking for a few hens to keep company w/Scovy drake that just happened to show up on their pond & they want to keep around.

Eek! The only Mule I know about is a cross between a donkey and a horse!

Please explain to me ( an ignorant English person) what a "Mule" duck is! Is it a cross breed? i.e. between two different pure breeds?

Scooter - please don't turn up at home with equines with you - you will have a LOT of explaining to do to your Mum ( Mom )

PlumTuckered - time is passing and Scooter will be home soon with her babies, keep being strong and have faith - thinking of you constantly!!!

Thats exactly how we got both our Muscovie drakes they flew in to our part of the river, and because we have girls of course they end up here, I love them too.

Lately, I've been subscribing to the thought that, if I haven't found any evidence to indicate otherwise, a missing animal/bird is probably OK and just hidden or out of the area. I've worried a lot about missing birds, but they've always shown up somewhere else or later on.
