my hen attacked me

i was in the coop taking some pics
and while i was looking through the
camera she jumpedflapped up all
puffed up feathered feet first straight
at me. hit my arm and camera. then
stood there staring me down as to say
yeap i did it whatcha gonna do.....lol.

She's trying to put you below her in the pecking order!

Don't hurt her but give her a little kick and let her know who is boss.... that or pic her up and hold her for a while.

Reminds me of the rooster "Leon" search youtube.. rotfl.. But yeah sometimes chickens get a little "iffy" when confronted with cameras. Of course so do most women if they're getting ready or just lounging around the house (Dare you to try it

).

Is this first time she's attacked you? Maybe she felt threatened by the camera?

Pick her up a few times under one arm and stroke her neck feathers. Speak softly, put her down, pick her up. Repeat as many times as you can. This puts her back in her rightful place. Is she your alpha?

I have the meaniest most nastiest hen lol. She will come at me full force. She's meaner than any rooster I have. I've tried all the advice to try and put her in her place...Doesn't work. She knows I am the top but still comes after me then backs down. If she wasn't a good layer she'd be sold. She's ok after you pick her up lol.
