My hen can't put weight on her foot

Good luck with your hen. Until you can find the source of her pain, it would be advisable to restrict her movement by putting her in a crate with lots of thick bedding and bump up the nutrition in her feed while she recovers.

Welcome to BYC. Have you felt around her hips and leg joints for tenderness, swelling, or heat? How high are your roosts? The larger chickens should be using lower roosts as they can injure their hips, legs, and feet jumping down from high spots.

I don't see anything on the bottom of her foot. In any case, reducing inflammation is a good idea and looking for ways she may be getting impact on the leg/foot is another good idea. In my coops (they are raised with wood floors), roosting bars are only at 3-feet. They use the ramp to go up but jump down. I have 1-inch mat/padding on the floor everywhere they could jump down.

I haven't felt any swelling and her roost is 1 ft high but I could see how that could hurt a chickens foot if it were high

Agreed, I don't think it is the roost either. Can you take a picture of the other foot. Is anyone else in the flock sick?
