My hen has died.

My hen has been acting different for a while. She would fall over if another chicken bumped her. If I picked her up she would panic and start coughing/sneezing and breathing hard. She would try to run. She was eating and drinking normally. She had quit laying due to molting. She acted like she was in pain. I thought egg bound so I checked her and no eggs. I gave her epsom salt bath anyway. I put her by herself for the last week. She mainly stood around. No runny nose. No runny eyes. I don’t know what happened. Do you have any ideas.

I'm sorry you lost her. The only way to get ideas is to do a necropsy or have a vet preform one. Again, I'm so sorry she passed. She knows you tried to help her and I'm sure she's at peace.

Do you know if/how you can get a necropsy done? That is probably your best bet. We all can get together and guess on what happened but you will not have a definite answer unless you get a necropsy. I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you find some closure

She was only 1 year old.

If you send her body out, keep it cold, but do NOT freeze it.
