My Hen has rash on neck and infected Bum!

I was reading in another post about the bum thing (forgive me if I don't know the right words)
.... My hen has had this bare spot on her neck for a month, which has gotten more red as the days go by, and now she has an infected bum, maybe from trying to lay a big egg? I don't know how to help her??? or what is up with her neck. Any help is greatly appreciated!

about the neck rash. As for the bum I think that appears to be the starting of a prolapse. I would get her into a warm bath and give her a good wash so that you can get a better look. After the bath keep her wrapped up warm till she's dry.

I will do that... I have to wait until my son gets home to wrangle her up... She is a runner!
I've read a little on here about this, but not sure exactly what a prolapse is. COuld you give me a quick definition?
