Rash on hens belly?

Lots of info and images here on identifying lice and mites:

Skin that is exposed to light will often be red, doesn't mean there is a rash. If it's on her underside it could be feather picking by others, rubbing on a roost while roosting, sleeping in bedding or on the ground. If it's on her back, you may have a hen that is mounting like a rooster, it can happen, particularly if there is not a rooster in the flock. A dominant hen will sometimes take over. If you have a lot of birds pecking each other then you may not have enough space for them. Over crowding is a very common reason for feather picking.
They do have lots of space and I have never seen a hen mount her like a rooster and I spend lots of times with them. It is on her belly going from around her vent to her crop. She does not sleep on the ground and most of the time sleeps standing up. I also noticed that she is missing some feathers from the belly, but also never saw a chicken pecking at her belly and not sure how they would peck there.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but there are squirrels and chipmunks that occasionally go in and out of their coop, im trying to get them to stay away but its not very successful.

☝️This.

Is it bad to treat chickens even if they do not have mites? Just to be on the safe side?
Well, no, it's not bad, I guess.

If you will feel better, give them a light dusting of Permethrin Poultry Dust. I put the dust in a sock and use that like a powder puff and tap it over the bird, then work the dust down through the feathers all the way to the skin.

I also use Permethrin spray to treat the coop/housing, making sure to spray the nooks/crannies, roosting bars and nesting boxes.

Do you have photos of all of her or the others?

This pic isnt that good but you can see most of her.

So I ended up spraying them under their wings, behind the neck and under the vent just to be on the safe side. I posted the dosage that I used down bellow. Is it normal for them to preen after??? Also, what is the egg recall?

I don't see a dosing posted.

What do you mean by egg recall? Can you post a photo of what you used?

You have a lovely group of hens! It's normal for them to preen anytime you apply something to their feathers and move their feathers around. They are putting them back in place:)

Sorry, I forgot to upload the pic. Is there like a time frame that I shouldn't eat their eggs because of the Permethin? Thanks, I love them! ❤️
