My hen is bobbing her head, sometimes just standing still with closed eyes

I cant seemed to upload a video, it says that the extension is not allowed. As of now she is still jerking her head, and we tried to massaged her crop and neck up and saw bubbling in her mouth, clear bubbly stuff like phlegm but its clear we tried as much as possible to get it out whenever we hear her gasping for air by massaging her neck up then getting it out by swabbing cotton buds

Don't massage the crop and neck in an upward motion, you risk pushing the contents of the crop up into the beak, she could choke.

It does sound like she may be having some crop issues. I'd read the article linked previously and begin treatment.

Do you notice any swelling or fluid in her abdomen below the vent between her legs?

hi everyone! thank you so much for all the info, we just came from the vet because we became so worried about her head jerking, its like her neck and head is jerking in zigzag. The vet said its respiratory illness bec of the weather we have now here, super hot in daytime then cold at night and also that she's in the early stage of canker . The vet advised to put vetramicin in her drinking water for 3 weeks, and prescribed an ointment for the fungus on her comb as mentioned by Eggcessive. Just not sure if the monistat cream is safe to be ingested for the canker? She doesn't have sour crop as per the vet, her crop is actually empty as she wasn't eating since yesterday. We are feeding her through syringe little by little

Yeah, sometimes a vet is the best bet for birds that are special to you since they can examine them in person. I hope she makes a full recovery, it sounds like she will.

Your vet didn't give you meds to treat the canker? Monistat cream is normally used to treat sour crop (yeast), it will not treat Trichomoniasis (Canker) which is caused by protozoa.

Glad you were able to see the vet and determine she's suffering from respiratory disease. Hopefully the Oxytetracycline will treat her symptoms and make her more comfortable.

The neck bobbing in the video is adjusting the crop. I'd make sure it's emptying overnight.

not so sure she's badly shaking her head, i also had her drink water diluted with a dewormer yesterday but not sure of it's enough

She is probably feeling like the canker sores are blocking her throat, so she is trying to swallow them down. I would continue the meds that the vet gave and pray that you start seeing come changes soon. Call your vet if she looks any worse, or doesn't show improvement in a day or two. I have never treated for canker, so I am not sure when you should see improvement, but I'll bet your vet can answer that over the phone.

You have to give most dewormers orally at full strength to be effective. You may just want to give her only what the vet prescribed so that she is not overwhelmed with different medicines. Unless the vet told you to use the dewormer?

Can you see any signs of canker inside her beak or throat? Canker is yellowish, and stinks very much. How does her breath smell? I disagree with your vet about her head and neck movements. That is classic signs of adjusting her crop. Usually there is an impaction or other crop problem. I would examine your other chickens, feeling crops to compare with hers. Normally, they should be hard to feel at all or empty and flat first thing in the morning. Once they start eating and drinking, they gradually fill up by evening when they should be full and firm. Sour crop is usually full and puffy soft. So checking her crop often is important. Do not massage a soft puffy crop, only a firm or doughy crop, or they can aspirate and choke on liquid crop contents. Antifungal such as Monistat/ miconazole or Nystatin are good for sour crop. Your vet could prescribe Nystatin, which is better. Medistatin powder is equivalent to Nystatin, and is available online here without a prescription:

Do you see Canker insider her beak? Bad odor or sour odor?

What dewormer did you give and the dose? Most dewormers are just given undiluted orally.

She's drinking the Vetrimycin water correct? If she's not drinking, then you'll need to syringe water into her.

Look in her ears, is there any crusty material or infection in the ears?

The motion she is making is crop adjustment. Does your vet normally see poultry?
