My hen is confused

I have 8 red cross hens in one of my runs, I noticed one of my hens making a noise like she was trying to crow, and today she was doing the roster thing on one of the other hens, I know she is a hen because she lays eggs and looks like a hen except she is a littie larger than the others, has anyone else experinced this

When there are no roosters a hen can sometimes take the rooster's place. Uncommon but possible

Dominant behaviors and pecking order. I have not had a hen crow but I have noticed that some hens mount more than others. I have one hen that is just as bad as a rooster and keep her isolated most of the peak egg season from my layers.

I have 16 pullets with no roo & have noticed them mounting each other . I know their all pullets because I've gotten 16 eggs.
