I came home yesterday to a feathery mess! I blamed my dog at first for taking off all of the tail feathers from one of my rhode island reds. Now that I have rallied up all of the other birds, except one still, I put them back together and the weirdest thing happened. The kelso hen walked right in and the other RIR with feathers still, started to submit to the Kelso hen. What?! So strange, then the Kelso hen starting pulling all the feathers out of the submitting hen? Why is this? so weird. My other Red has no feathers at all on her tail! What is going on here? It seems like she is trying to kill them. Anyone have an idea as to what is going on?

Yes, I think. From a very old breed that has been around for a long, long time to make the ultimate fighting roosters. They are beautiful birds, really cool looking. We have two but this one, I just can't believe what happend to my beautiful RIR! She is half the size she used to be. The agressive one is separated, I didn't know things like this happened. We are giving her away tomorrow. I don't want a bird like that, and with that much aggression, just down right mean!
