My older hen is making gurgling sounds and has spit up brown liquid, no smell and crop doesn't seem squishy at all. She is not herself and kind of moping around. I treated her for upper respiratory a month ago with the same symptoms and she was fine a few days later. I'm not sure if it was respiratory but after searching it seemed to be and she was fine after treating. I started Tylan and vet rx again but she hasn't improved at all after 2 days of treating, I'm continuing treatment. Is there anything else this could be? I read could be water belly but would she be spitting up? Please help!! Thanks

Recurring regurgitation is usually related to a crop issue. If it's just once, that's not unusual. Sometimes a chicken drinks a lot of water and a jerky movement may cause some to come back up. To be certain, take away food and water tonight and check her in the morning before you give them back. If the crop is empty and flat, there is no problem to worry about as long as the chicken is behaving normally.

For now, I see no reason to give an antibiotic.

If you discover she has a crop issue from her crop still retaining fluids, here is how you treat. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

She has been gurgling and sounding wheezy as well. She definitely isn't herself and not eating as much, her poop was a little runny yesterday too. There is definitely something going on with her just can't figure out what 😪.

You need to rule things out. That's sort of the way we diagnose chickens here. Do the crop exam in the morning. Take a picture of her poop. It can tell us things. Give us a photo of her, as well. We need to see her standing and her eyes. Posture gives us clues and so do the eyes.

Yes of course, please see pics below.
Thank you

Thank you. That's important information. What is her laying history? When did she last lay? Her age? Any shell -less eggs recently?

From her posture, she appears to be a a great deal of discomfort. It may be a stick egg or a reproductive infection.

Do you have an calcium supplements on hand? I would give her some right now. Also, do you have any antibiotics on hand? Starting her on one might be a good idea. Do you have something beside the Tylan?

She is around 7ish I'm not sure as I got her from my mom so my other hen wouldn't be lonely. She has never laid an egg since I got her, which has been about 8 months.
I have a couple amoxicillin but human. I will give her some oil of organo and coillodal silver. I don't want her uncomfortable so may give her some cbd oil
