I just bought really expensive eggs and set them under her two days ago. I am hoping for good results. If anyone has any tips it would be appreciated.

Best of luck! Just make sure momma gets up to eat and drink, and she should do all the work for you.

Good luck with your hatch! I also have 3 silkie hens setting on a clutch of call duck eggs. I actually have a call duck who laid the eggs--14 of them and for a while she shared setting duties with the hens. Now it appears that the hens have taken over the nest and the duck has lost interest. They have divided the eggs among themselves. I can't wait for the next installment of this little domestic soap opera. Will the duck come back? Will the hens set in harmony until the eggs hatch? Will the eggs even hatch? If they do, will the ducklings think they are chickens? Tune in for the next exciting episode!
