Last night I posted a pic of my alleged hen who was crowing only to find out my hen is a rooster. So I am posting 3 pics of more of my chickens to help determine their sex before they start crowing. So please help me figure it out before I have more people thinking I am a crazy lady who thinks hens crow, lol.

Chicken 1...who I believe to be a hen.....

Chicken 2, who I also believe to be a hen....

Chicken 3...guess what I think she is...haha

Thanks!!

Ummm.. those are all three roos. Look at how red their combs are and their tail feathers! Roos!

I'd have to say all three are roos. The all look to have sickle shaped tail feathers and large red combs.

I think you might have more than one crowing hen

I read your post last night and smiled, but I could TOTALLY see myself doing that! Don't feel bad

There are a lot of us on here learning as we go. The first chicken I ever touched was the chick the breeder handed me to hold while he rounded up the rest of my new "flock"... just a few weeks ago

He probably saw the look of shock on my face. I was there to buy chicks, but for some reason I was surprised by having to hold one

Hi,

I have been known to be WRONG, but the first two look like roos to me and the third one, undecided, but I am also leaning toward a roo.

It would help if you could tell us the breeds, as chickens have different types of combs and what could look like a roo in one breed could look like a hen in another.

Good luck whatever they are!
