So my blind Amber-Link hen (Amber) just laid 2 eggs in one day, We only have 2 layers in that coop a White Leghorn (Leia) and Amber. Amber has been laying for over 5 weeks. So we get 3 eggs from a coop with 2 layers. Any Problems?

I read a thread the other day that this is normal in new layers as their bodies figure things out. At 5 weeks I am guessing this still applies but hopefully someone with more experience with chime in. How does she seem otherwise?

She seems fine, though it is getting cold here, so she is slightly shivering, but you don't notice it until you hold her.

Poor girl. Where are you located, it’s very helpful to the other members if you have your location added to your profile, sometimes us newbies have questions that the answer might depend on our location. I’m in Nova Scotia Canada. Some evenings are chilly but haven’t noticed anyone shivering yet!
