I keep squinting at the xray. I agree. Those pellets look strange. Not quite BB like. My old eyes are seeing what looks like a dimple or opening in the center. Whether that is an artifact from the xray or shadow or whatever Idunno. But I really doubt if she was a victim of a kid with a Red Rider. The 'round thingies' are too concentrated. If she had been shot the foreign bodies would be more diverse, IMHO.
Looking at the second gizzard it almost makes me wonder if she didn't obstruct there. There is quite a wad of whatever it is there that could be blocking off the duct.
