my hen pecked me!

I have WAY to many broody hens right now so i just push them aside and grab their eggs and thow them off the nest. Well today when i was going in to grab eggs one of the hens pecked me and broke the skin and now i have a hickey/bruise! How else am i supposed to get their eggs that they are sitting on? any advice?

Wait until she gets of the nest to geta drink and sneak in and grap the eggs.

You could wear gloves, or what I do is pick the hen up from behind......out of the beaks way.

yeah i should just go in from behind...... man i didn't realize how mean broody's were!

Get a good pair of gloves. Maybe welder's gloves that go up the arm a bit.
