My hen stopped laying eggs - Any advice?

Hi. I have 5 chickens. I started with 3, but they are pullets & it will be a little while before they are ready to lay eggs. So, my friend gave me a mature hen. She started laying eggs here the day I brought her home. She laid an egg every day for several days. Then, I added another hen to my pin. She has a hurt tail. Since I don't have any mature roosters, my friend wanted her to stay with me so she could heal. She lays eggs every day, but the other hen stopped. She has not laid one egg since I added the other hen to the pin. Is there anything I can do to encourage her to start laying eggs again?

Most likely the move to your house then the adding of a new hen made her stop,Stress of any form can cause them to quit laying. Also not sure where you are but its been real hot here, over 100 to 111, my girls slow WAY down when its hot.. Misters help keep them cool but when its this hot they tend to eat less, lay less eggs and basically sit in the shade or under misters...
Give her awhile to settle in and she should start laying again

Thank you. It isn't THAT hot here, but it is pretty hot, and she has had to adjust to quite a bit of change over the past week or two. I guess I'll just give her some time. Well, that's all I can do really.
