My hen suddenly can’t seem to use her legs

All mine have always molted when it starts getting COLD Sometimes in January. But she is about 16 months now. Just extra worried with the no eggs and the leg issue

She definitely hasn’t been lonely while she’s indoors
Apparently she likes you tube

Sorry to kinda mooch off this thread but my 2-3 year old hen is having the same problem. On Friday, we brought all the animals home from the county fair and they were just fine. I did the routine health check, checking for mites, lice, breakages, wounds, or lameness, and all the girls were fine, so I let them loose. Well, I got home later, she was in a flower bed with a freshly layer egg (hers) beside her. It was unusual, because all the other girls were up and she is always the first one that goes into the coop. When I walked towards her she made no move to get up. I knew something was wrong. I picked her up out of the flower bed and set her on the ground. She tried to move herself but couldn’t. There are no external injuries or fractures that I could feel. She can move everything except her legs. She has VERY limited mobility in her left leg but cannot move her right leg at all. Any ideas on what could have happened? There has been no improvement.

I'm sorry to hear about your hen. With the symptoms you describe, I would lean towards this being Marek's, but there is no way to really know unless you lose her and send the body for testing.
You can try placing her in a sling a couple of times a day to make her more comfortable. Some birds accept a sling while others don't so you would want to monitor her.
Provide her with her normal feed along with some egg, vitamin e and b-complex.

Thank you! She has been eating, drinking, and pooping normally.

Are there any other possibilities? As I said, we just came back from fair and my other girls were around her and only one other bird that wasn’t mine came into contact with her and I already talked to the boy who owned that bird and his flock is clean. The hen next to her is 2 1/2 years old

I’m sorry to hear about your girl. I wish I could give some advice but I don’t know what was wrong with Elenor. But I can give you a little hope. She walking perfect again, back to laying and ready to fend for herself in the run. So keep hope alive.
All I did was keep her comfortable and give extra vitamins. I hope this is how it goes for you too
How is she today?
