I have 5 hens that are just under a year old. All of a sudden my Ameracauna has stopped laying. Its been about 3 weeks now. Is this normal or should I be concerned that she is sick? She has a bald spot about the size of a lemon at the base of her tail. She has had it for awhile and it doesn't look infected or bloody or anything. I just thought her feathers were getting rubbed off there for some reason. I haven't noticed any of the other chickens plucking them out at all. They all get along and have no stressors. Any suggestions?
