my hen thinks she s a rooster

I have two hens together and they used to have a rooster. Now the one hen is acting like a rooster when there is food and is a little bossy.. both behaviors I have heard of before. What suprises me is she mounted the other hen two days ago right before my shocked eyes. My mom had a 50 chicken flock all my growing up years and I never saw this behavior. Also only one is laying a egg now and one of the two or both are eating it. What is going on?

It's a dominance thing...it should work out.

She might even try to crow...just to let you know.

I had a true hermaphrodite hen...She crowed and under the influence of female hormones, she laid me one small baby yellow egg.

I still miss Slifer the Sky Dragon.
