my hens act weird

my hens shake their heads when i crow
i am the rooster they all lay and their wattles and their combs sake around and become more red ???
help wat are they doing and whenever i play a recorded rooster they dont respond

I can't help you there, I don't crow for my hens. It sounds like the old joke, "Doctor, my arm hurts when I do this!" Doctor: "Then don't do that!"

If they don't shake their heads the same way at any other time, then quit crowing for them lol. It sounds like it's not the hens that are acting weird.

Wow! You're a pretty talented rooster! Does your human know you're getting into the house and using the computer? Or do you have a computer in your coop?

Seriously - you may be the flock keeper, and your hens know that. You don't need to crow at them for them to figure it out. They catch on pretty quickly to who feeds them, waters them and lets them out in the morning. Of course, if you enjoy crowing at your chickens to get a reaction - by all means, continue to do so!
