Wanted to try Valbazine but it was 50$ for the smallest bottle. I could never use it all with 4 hens.

There is a lot of conjecture about how effective ivermectin is . If the valbazen is too expensive might I suggest you consider getting safeguard. It is safe to use in poultry and does all worms except tape.
I would hate to see you lose more of your girls.

How would you dose the safeguard? All the reviews say the label is too low. Is this true for chickens too?

The dose for standard size chickens is 1/2 cc then redose in 10 days.
