My hens are not eating well

I got 6-SS. They used to LOVE to eat pretty much anything.
Love the feed, love the grass, bugs and treats.
But in this few day, they are not eating.
They come out from coop and scratching ground.
They come to me to get treat.
But feeder is not going down.
I checked their crop every night. They are not hard like used to.
Soft like water ball.

When I go out with feed with container, they used to eat from container.
But now, they eat only when I hand fed them.
I didn't change feed, it's same company and same bag.
Only thing changed is... one of my hen got killed by hawk (or falcon) last Saturday.
It happened front of them.

Do you think they are still in shock???
Or something going on???

Are they free-range? If they are they could be eating enough bugs and weeds from outside. They are probably still in shock from the hawk but I doubt that would efect there eatinng that much.

They are not really "free range" this time of the year.
We still got about 6" or so snow covered ground.
They will come out a little space around coop that I shoveled snow.
I see little bit green grass started growing but not much there.

I hope they will act normal soon...

I too, don't have much for free ranging yet, but I am wondering if the temperature has mellowed a bit? Cold temps, they need a lot of feed, warmer temps not near so much.
