I know this now is for your ongoing medkit, not immediate use.

Here's what I did about tube-feeding supplies, based on advice and info from @RoyalChick . I also got very good training from the vet I brought Butters to.

Maybe your vet has come through, or can supply you with a prescription so you have them on hand when you need them.

I bought the red tubes from Amazon, also syringes to supposedly fit, but none worked out well for me, which is too bad. @BY Bob

I might have had the wrong syringe tip for them or they sent the wrong syringe end tip tubes. Tubes were big but doable, but they slipped off the syringe way too easily under pressure. Tip end clogged easily. Picture baby bird formula all over me, the walls, Butters, etc.

So I looked around and got more catheters, straight-tip, from Vitality Medical. I got 14, 16 and 18 French size. I think for Butters I used the 14.
Well-designed, did not clog, very smooth, and the right stiffness.

I had a phone call with them which was interesting; in the checkout process it was all smooth until I hit a snag about a prescription or authorization proving I needed the catheters for medical use, which I had not seen on the item page. I called them and told them that it wasn't for me but for a sick chicken who was not eating on her own and I needed to tube-feed her. I think I told them I had had training from the vet too and been given a short-term supply. The response was basically No, that they aren't made for non-human use, or something. Then the rep went away to talk to a supervisor and came back with the news they had decided I needed them for "a" medical use, even if it was for a chicken and not a human, and I didn't need a prescription. They would sell me the catheters.

Then from @RoyalChick 's tip I got good feeding syringes from the Squirrel Guy, who seems to have changed the web site around, and for feeding supplies to redirect to the Miracle Nipple web site https://miraclenipple.com/pages/see-all-four-sizes-of-the-miracle-nipple

The "miracle" is the O-ring that will work for multiple uses before it gets too stiff to plunge. The previous feeding syringes I got only worked best for maybe three feedings. Be sure you get the syringe tip made for catheters, whatever syringe you get.

Honestly, I’m not understanding the problem. The links are a different color. What are you expecting to see? It looks normal to me as far as the internet goes.
Not to try to speak for Kelly, but this is what is driving me nuts, and her as well.

The portion that I’ve circled is a full image of a quoted post, not just a single link:

That sounds wild.

Where is the video? Come on. You need to record these cool observations.
I know. But sometimes I don’t have enough hands! This was outside the range of the cameras.

Up, Up, and To Sleep

Tilly found the roost tonight!

While Niamh and I had a battle of wills. 3 times she tried to roost in the grapevines. The first time I put her on the ground and she went around the other side of the coop and climbed back up into the grapevines again. I let her mess around for a while and then I removed her and put her into the Cluckle Hut.

Out she came again. This time when she got onto the main coop roof I stopped her with a firm NO!. I pointed the other way and told her, "Go To Bed". This is a phrase I have used every time I have directed her to the coop from day 1. This time she turned around and went to bed in the Cluckle Hut like she is supposed to.

She knows what I want her to do, she just wants to sleep where she wants. She is a sweet girl.
Good Tilly!🥰

:lol:Hmmm, Niamh sounds like the rebellious teen if you ask me!
