Hi Kelly. I agree Bridie is a cute name!

My girl is Bridge. It’s short for Bridgette. When Little Mill died, a couple of younger hens started attacking Bridge and I had to separate them. Then I had to nurse her back to health. She seems great now, but I still have to keep them separate. Flash, who was one of the ones attacking her, also died, but Flo would still like to get her.

Unfortunately, today Minnie Minnie is not feeling well. I got to them late this morning since I slept in and found her in the box and weak. She tells to be anorexic, so I tube fed her which I do occasionally. Unfortunately, she seemed to continue to the climb, so I started going into more crisis mode. She is sitting on a heating pad on the low setting in the kitchen with an area heater on. I placed a cup of water in front of her and she started drinking and drinking and drinking. She eventually got up and drank some more. But then she sat back down and I put her back on the heating pad.

I know better. I know that the first step is warmth and then hydration and then nutrition. But since she’s got this anorexic thing, I jumped straight to nutrition. Oops. I hope these measures will help. She seems slightly perkier, but still weak.
I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope that you can bring her back around.

:hugs:hugs:popPoor Tassels. Her Littles will be 9 weeks on Monday and they are getting to be quite a handful.
Bed time this evening was quite an event, not helped by me dropping an egg on the floor as I tried to retrieve it.
Here is how it played out.

Mr. Chips: Look Mom! Look. Over here. I am a big boy now and I can spend the night up here all on my own.

Tassels (striding over): Get down from there immediately and get in the brooder box like the baby you are!

Mr. Chips: Yes Mom. OK. No need to shout - I’m coming as fast as I can!

So they are all squeezed in together in the cardboard box as usual!

In the second picture you might see a blurry chicken about to fly down to Tassels from on high. That is of course Geronimo. Mr. Chips was not alone in trying to roost.
Geronimo of course had her heart set on somewhere much higher (but obeyed Tassels and came back down into the cardboard box).

Poor Tassels. They are ready to go and she isn't. :hugs :hugs

One year ago today I got to meet @BY Bob and his lovely wife in person.
Was that today!? Awwww! You were such sweet people. I was so glad Versace had you to take him in. :hugs :hugs

And finally the Bobsy Twins

Or maybe the other way around….

They spent the whole afternoon outside with the main gang, they were up at one end, back doen at the other end, over here, over there… in the barn…. Outside again. They were cruising everywhere!

They were even sunbathing with some of the ladies.

I am just waiting for them to follow Tippy, Butterecotch, Buttercup, Laverne and Mr LC over the fence and into the horse paddocks!
They look wonderful. 🥰

Well not really - but she shouts very loudly.
It is possible they were just having an argument - but it really looked like a lesson. They were standing facing each other and Pooh would shout at her loudest (which is very loud) and then stop and look at Mr. Chips. Then after a beat or two she would do it again.
That sounds wild.

Where is the video? Come on. You need to record these cool observations.

I am seeing some very odd things on here with links since the upgrade. It’s very hard to distinguish from what is a link and what is the actual content.

Is anyone else having these crazy looking links?

Not a big fan of so. In fact could be a huge dealbreaker with me.

This is what I see

Nope nope nope - I absolutely detest it.

Make it go away….. 😡😡😡😡
Honestly, I’m not understanding the problem. The links are a different color. What are you expecting to see? It looks normal to me as far as the internet goes.
