We live in Va. and have 20 chickens. We have kept lights and a heat lamp in their coop all winter. The light is is still on, but not the heat lamp. The hens laid all winter long and did nicely for us. Four weeks ago it was still cold, and now it is starting to warm up. We were getting anywhere from 16 to 19 eggs a day! Now we are only getting 6 to 10. We don't see anybody molting, everyone looks healthy. They are fed good laying pellets, a Flock Block, some scraps, and turned out two to five times a week to forage. Fresh water, and we clean the hen house regular. We have about 5 customers that buy eggs regularly from us, and I have been turning them away do to lack of eggs. WHAT HAPPENED!
