My hens laid full grown chicks - found when we cracked open eggs

We just acquired 10 red Sex Link chickens about two weeks ago. We've got 9 eggs a day and found two full grown dead chicks in the eggs we cracked open 2 days ago. They are good laying hens but how can we get full grown chicks when we have no roosters.

It takes 21 days for a egg to hatch. Are you sure the eggs had fully developed embryos? What's the temperature where you live? Do you collect eggs every day?

it may be possible I don't know oh. These chickens are new to us. The other chickens we had a raised from chicks that we got from kids hatching the eggs at school.

the temperature here has been about 65 or so but when we collect the eggs every day and put them in the refrigerator.

I did not check the eggs before putting them in the refrigerator because I figured we had all hands I did not realize it takes 21 days

The only way you could find a baby chick in a egg is if you missed a egg, and a chicken was sitting on it for about 14- 15 days.
