My hens laid full grown chicks - found when we cracked open eggs

CC did they give you some eggs when you picked up the chickens from whom ever you got them from? I am wondering is she had the eggs in the nesting box and gave you her eggs and the chickens. Which she could of been sitting on for a while. You not knowing it and placed them in the frig. The only way you would find out was to crack open the egg If you didn't know she was sitting on eggs.

When my friend gave us our chickens they also gave us a dozen eggs.
