My Holocaust Project

    Some of you might remember I had needed ideas for an art project to hand in for my Holocaust class. This is what I came up with! I will be handing it in tomorrow night, but let me know if you have any suggestions!

    The phoenix represents the holocaust victims, and the smoke represents the concentration camps. The phoenix, in it's rebirth, rose from the smoke and flame to flourish once against, just as many of the victims were able to do.


    Close up (The picture looks best from far away, but this was a neat view.)


    I was actually extremely pleased with how it came out. I had no idea how I would do the fire, but it came out looking pretty cool. The background isn't exactly how I wanted it to look, but this was good enough for a school project!

    Wow - that's awesome! You have a real talent there, and such a great symbolism of those who survived to tell the world about what happened in those death camps.
