Hi i took Honeycomb (Light Brahma Roo) outside to the run today to see how he liked it and he was scared, He followed me around the whole time , and when he finially got alittle bit comfortable scratching around I slipped away to the otherside of the pen, When he realized I was not right there he started to panic and started cackling really loud,I felt sorry for the little guy, 8 weeks yesterday, My SO was laughing at him, So I called him and he looked around frantically, and when He saw me he started to cackle and peep really loud and then he tottled the only way I could describe It, Neck straight out forward, wings out and straight back, as fast as his two legs would go to get to me, So I stooped down and he jumped onto my hand and peeped really softly, Then I put him down again and started to walk away and the boy never took his eyes off of my feet and stuck like glue, My SO said that is no chicken it is a dog! SO says he is a spoiled little Mammas boy! And I agree, He is a mommas boy! He is still just a baby after all! LOL. I did notice something alittle disturbing and not sure what to do to correct it, None of the chicks are afraid of any of the dogs or cats, MINE, and he will walk right up to them and talk to them, Im afraid that they and especially honey comb will think of all animals as his friends and that could get them into trouble! Im going to be a nervous wreck come time for them to go out all the time! I may have to pitch a tent outback to watch over them. LOL I'd sure hate to loose him because he was too friendly! Thank for listening. Sandy

How cute! Loved your story. Mine are 5 weeks and run around when I go to pick one up. I hope at least one is like yours!

Im sure yours will and more than likely more than just one! These are my first chicks and they have been in the house all of there short lives so far. In the kitchen in a big box so everytime I walk by i couldn't help but pick one up and cuddle with it, most of the time it was honeycomb, cause he just begged to be picked up, hopping up and down at the feet. They all enjoy the cuddling but My Honeycomb is a qlutten for cuddles! How could anyone resist that! Good luck with your babies. Sandy
